As far as I can tell or as far as I can tell from the people I've talked to, there are a lot of people who are actually in sub-health mentally, especially doctors.
Every day all kinds of anxiety, depressed mood, when things are negative and pessimistic, anxious, easily nervous, or often feel that "there are always unruly people want to harm me".
At this time the probability is that they will take out a piece of chicken soup for the soul text to read, or brush up on a video of an old monk giving instructions, or flip through the Confucian and Mencius way or Wang Yangming's school of mind.
People around you will also tell you, don't have nothing to worry about, look at you have everything. Or say "happy is a day, not happy is also a day", but you just can not be happy. So you join the army of mindfulness, as if mindfulness is your medicine.
But I don't know if you've ever thought that although it's right to practice mindfulness, you may be practicing blindly, and mindfulness is also about learning from a teacher, not just taking a book and reading it and understanding it. Blind practice will bring about the opposite result, you feel that the book you read or the video you watched, what those high people said is right, you should do it that way. But your energy is too low, and you can't do it, or you can't do it in a way that you can't do it. At this time, you know that is right, but you can not do, the contrast between the two, but will aggravate your existing low mental state.
What should we do?
There's a very simple way to do it. If you have a disease, treat it first.
Why can't anxiety be cured? It could be the body that's holding you back.
A long-term poor mental state must react at the level of form or at the level of qi. Chinese medicine speaks of form (referring to the physical parts of the human body, such as the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, and other organs), qi (which is a kind of energy related to the human spirit and vitality), and shen (which involves mental activities such as thinking, consciousness, and emotions, and which is a manifestation of the human body's vital activities).
God can influence Qi, and Qi can influence form. In turn, form can influence qi, and qi can influence God. If you cure your physical ailments, your mood will be more than half as good.
As far as most of us non-practitioners are concerned, we can't talk about mindfulness across the body, we can't be as firm in our faith as many of the old monks in Zen Buddhism, even when we are suffering from serious illnesses, we are still firm in our Zen mindfulness. Nor can we be like Lao Tzu, who said, "I have a big problem because I have a body" (this sentence is from Chapter 13 of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu's elaboration of the idea that "the favor and the disgrace are like a shock, and you have a big problem if you have a body"). According to Lao Tzu, excessive attention to the body leads to worry and fear, while transcending such attention allows one to reach a higher level of spiritual freedom. The meaning of this statement is: I have woes because I have a body. If I did not have a body, what woes would I have?
Lao Tzu expresses a profound thought here: much of the suffering and distress we experience often stems from our excessive preoccupation with our own existence, including our attachment to our bodies, our selfish desires, and our sense of self. When we are able to transcend this self-centered vision and reach a state of selflessness, many of the 'woes' that plague us will disappear. (This is not to say that the body itself is bad, but rather to remind us to reduce our excessive focus on self-interest in order to achieve a freer, more peaceful state of mind.)
In the eyes of these people, the Buddha in the heart, the Tao in the heart, is far greater than the body.
Why is it that "the mind is the first to heal"? When you don't have enough energy, even breathing is a drain.
- energy dissipation mechanism: Anxious people are often accompanied bychronic fatigue.sleep disorderThe essence is that the qi and blood deficiency. The actual "chicken soup of the soul" has increased the psychological burden.
- clinical observation: Fear is alleviated in those who replenish sufficient Kidney Qi, impatience is relieved in those who pass the bowels and lower the fire, and the mind is more refreshed after dispelling dampness.
This is more often the case with us mortals, who can be happy for a day with a good meal and a massage. A cold or a cough or a curse from someone else will make us feel bad for a day. The external form, the external eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind have a great influence on our mood. So it is a good choice to start from the cure to adjust the mood.
I have come across examples in my clinic of people who have felt much better through treatment.
For example, the patient was given a tonic for his kidneys, and then he was less worried and scared.
After passing his bowels and putting down the fire, he became less impatient and gentler.
After nourishing the yin fluid and removing the dampness, his mind was refreshed and he was able to be quiet and get things done.
After sweating and opening his chi, his heart was free, and his whole being was inexplicably joyful.(In Chinese medicine, "qi" is regarded as a kind of energy, the basic substance that constitutes the human body and sustains life activities. It is similar to "life energy" or "life force" in Western medicine. Qi flows through the body, promoting and regulating various physiological functions, including blood circulation, metabolism and immune defense. The term "qi energy" refers to the pattern of qi movement and change, including the dynamic processes of qi ascending, descending, exiting and entering. These processes ensure the internal balance of the human body and the coordination of the functions of the internal organs. When qi is smooth, the body's physiological functions are normal and people feel comfortable and healthy. Conversely, poor qi may lead to disease and discomfort.)
After warming the yang and removing the cold, the whole person becomes energized and has energy to do things.
After doing acupuncture and loosening up the knots, I was able to relax my mind and fall asleep faster.
These are real healing benefits, and for most of us mere mortals regulating our moods by toning our bodies works faster.
Some people may say that if you can't open the knot in your heart, you can't cure the root by just adjusting your body. But don't overlook one thing, opening the knot also needs energy. If the body is poor, the energy is not enough, the daily work and study feel tired to cope with, let alone to open the heart knot. So no matter what you want to do afterward, what kind of state you are in at the moment, let your body get better first. If you can't stop the internal consumption of your heart, stop the consumption of your body first.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasizes the unity of "form, qi and spirit".Physical state directly affects mood. If there is chronic anxiety and restlessness, it may already be evident in the tongue and pulse:
- Tongue Tips: Red tongue with yellow greasy moss (liver depression and fire), pale tongue with fat teeth marks (spleen deficiency and dampness), and dark red tongue (qi stagnation and blood stasis) are all associated with anxiety.
- imbalance of qi and blood (TCM): Insufficient heart yang results in easy panic, liver depression and stagnation of qi results in irritability, and spleen deficiency and dampness results in dizziness and swelling of the head.
case (law)A 32-year-old female patient with anxiety and insomnia presented to the clinic with a pale, fat tongue and weak pulse, and was diagnosed with "heart yang deficiency + spleen deficiency and dampness", and was treated with warming heart yang, strengthening the spleen and resolving dampness for 3 months, resulting in significant improvement in her mood.
The four-step method of Chinese medicine "to cure disease and regulate the spirit": from the body to repair the beginning
If you don't even want to see a doctor, it's a no-brainer to opt for a brisk hike to a light sweat.
Walking briskly, the circulation of qi and blood is accelerated, and the body automatically unlocks qi and blood circulation medicine.
Sweat slightly, stools clear, automatic unlocking and elimination of evil medicines.
Move around, food is digested, and elimination pills are automatically unlocked.
Take a walk, the cold will dissipate and the yang will develop, automatically unlocking the warm yang and hair growth medicine.
The human body comes with its own great medicine, nature has programmed itself to heal itself when it was created. The only thing it needs is for you to take the initiative to turn it on. If you want to get better, no one can stop you.
Just like your constant internal friction, there's no one to stop you.
